Movie Poster process

First I started with this movie poster that I was kinda feeling for like 2 seconds, then I kinda hated it. I'm still not sure why I didn't like it that much.

After moping about it for hours and thinking about what I could change to improve it I was struck with a bolt of passion and I scrambled to see how feasible my new Idea was. This new poster is a return to my roots in a way. My first delve into horror art was through a campy, scary, sexy, video project which I still admire. I wanted to have a sort of return to the norm for myself and do the things I know I enjoy. So here is my new poster brimming with all that energy and passion.
